Beauty Detox 2020 Kick-off



Why not opt for a new you in 2020? A big trend in health and wellness is a detox or intermittent fast. Why not start your new year with a Beauty Detox! Remember what you put on your skin, your body’s largest organ, gets absorbed and carried in your blood throughout your body. This can contribute positively or negatively impact your health. 

STEP 1:

To start your Beauty Detox, pull out all your personal care and skin products and check the expiration dates. Have you hung onto old products forever? Are they past expiration? Are they broken? Are they empty? Hasn’t been used in the last 6 months? Toss them out immediately! 

STEP 2:

Find out if the products you’ve been using are really effective. Are they doing what you hoped they’d do? What they advertised they'd do? We suggest you fast from using your regular beauty products, one-at-a-time, for a limited time, to see if not using them makes any difference. Do you notice any changes without them? Do you really miss them?  If your answer is “not so much”, toss them out. If you’ve given them a try and not getting the results you’d like, why keep using them? Out they go!

STEP 3:

Next, read labels on any remaining products you still have. You may need to get a magnifying glass to see the ingredients listed on the back panel! But do it and take the time to identify each ingredient. Never heard of it? Can’t pronounce it? Look it up! This is really important and will take a little time but will yield vital information to help you decide whether to continue using the product. This will also help guide your future buying decisions. Keep this process simple by setting a goal to check 1 or 2 products a week. It may take a month or more to get through them but you’ll be glad you made the time.
