As we spring forward this week and the clocks change enjoy fresh new beginnings with a Cleansing Ritual. This ritual is deeply rooted in Native American History and is often referred to as Saging since White Sage is part of the ritual. This is a unique way to welcome new energy into your home and life by clearing out (smudging out) any negative from people, places or objects. You can think of Saging as hitting a reset button anytime you need a fresh start.

Saging is a simple process. Begin by opening a door or window to give the negative energy you clear someplace to go. Here’s what you’ll do with each item:
Step 1: Place white Selenite Wand on a nightstand, in a window sill or on a table. Selenite will help realign the energy in your space with its exceptionally high and pure vibration, helping to create a peaceful and protected environment. Move your wand around the house to wherever room and place you desire to set it.
Step 2: Light the end of the Palo Santo wooden stick and wave it around your space, with your prayers. You can leave it smoking on a fire-proof dish to release its pine-minty-lemon aroma. Palo Santo is Spanish for Holy Wood. It comes from naturally fallen trees. Palo Santo is believed to be cleansing and therapeutic to help restore positive energy and inner peace.
Step 3: Light the end of the sage bundle until you reach a small flame. Lightly blow on the flame until it goes out. The sage will begin to smoke gently, like incense. Take care to light it over a fire-proof dish to catch any ashes. Wave the smoking bundle in the air as you walk through your space. Be sure to keep your dish with you as you walk around. Speak your prayers and heart desires out loud as you go from room to room. This woodsy herbaceous smell is believed to help harmonize your mind and home with positive thoughts while it improves the quality of the air.
